Rappanhannock Hero’s Home: A ‎Social Sustainable Living Community ‎for Veterans

Team

Student: Laura Greenwood

Faculty Advisor: Amy Huber

Institution: Thomas Jefferson University

Narrative

Roots provide support for trees, and this home acts as the root for Veterans’ recovery, social life, growth, and health, by supporting their needs. The driving, concept of roots, emphasizes the community this space serves, by designing spaces that promote engagement, inclusive activities, and social interaction between residents.
