Sustainability Committee
Sustainability Committee: The IDEC Board calls all IDEC members to participate in a Sustainability Committee for a one-year commitment.
This Committee is charged with integrating sustainability into the practices and procedures of IDEC. A task force has suggested how IDEC can be a more sustainable organization. This Committee will develop recommendations for implementation in conjunction with the management group for IDEC.
The Sustainability Committee is anticipated to meet and communicate digitally via video conferencing technology. The Committee will average 1-2 monthly calls throughout the academic year. The frequency and duration will be up to the committee members. The Committee will report to the Board twice yearly (before the annual conference and in May). The Sustainability Committee will assemble for its first call at the end of September.
Per IDEC policy, this is an open call to all IDEC members to participate, made to invite both established IDEC members and new members to contribute to the future of interior design education.
