Calling All Leaders

The IDEC Board of Directors is composed of volunteers elected by the membership. They are responsible for determining policy, advancing and protecting IDEC’s mission and core values, and strategic planning to achieve its vision.

IDEC is committed to actively cultivating a diverse pool of candidates to consider for leadership positions. Accordingly, any voting member in good standing may become a candidate or nominate a candidate for the Board of Directors.

This year the Nominating Committee is looking for eligible volunteers to fill the following positions with terms beginning May 1, 2026.
- President-Elect (2026-2029)
- Director of Communities (2026-2028)
- Director of Scholarship (2026-2028)
- Director of Strategic Initiatives (2026-2028)
- Director of Teaching (2026-2028)
