Innovative Teaching Ideas (ITI) is one of IDEC’s longest-running and most valued initiatives. Established in 1992, ITI maintains a collection of more than 300 peer-reviewed teaching ideas, representing decades of creativity and pedagogical innovation in Interior Design education. ITI showcases exemplary interior design projects, assignments, and learning activities developed by educators to enhance creativity and effectiveness in teaching and learning across the field.
We are seeking a volunteer to serve as the Innovative Teaching Ideas Chair. The Chair is responsible for overseeing the annual review and publication cycle, coordinating the peer-review process, and supporting the dissemination of innovative pedagogical practices within the IDEC community.
If you are passionate about advancing interior design education and contributing to one of IDEC’s signature scholarly initiatives, we encourage you to consider this important leadership opportunity.
Committee members are expected to demonstrate ability and willingness to work effectively and collaboratively in a team, demonstrate leadership and professionalism, and previous experience and interest in teaching innovations into IDEC initiatives and collaboratives.
