“Transformational Design Education”
with Keynote Speaker, Dr. Leyla Acaroglu
Founder, Disrupt Design; Founder, The UnSchool of Disruptive Design

Now is a time of radical change where every aspect of society is being impacted and transformed, but education has not changed in over 50 years. We still teach in a reductive, siloed way that often reduces creativity. The big question now is how educational systems will respond to the changing work, career and business landscape. What are the design roles of the future and how do we equip young minds with the tools that will help them make change in their careers and life? From her experience creating an experiential knowledge lab, The UnSchool, and crafting curriculums for Finland, Australia and Thailand, Leyla shares her disruptive visions for a world that educates based on systems, experiences and creative change. In this disruptive and creative time, where we are undergoing great cultural shifts in all aspects of life, education, especially design education needs to catch up to ensure we have future-ready citizens able to contribute to designing a better world.
