WEAVING THE THREADS OF DESIGN
South Carolina has a long history of textiles, from growing indigo before we were a country to the textile mills to Millikin’s global commitment to sustainable manufacturing. Like this long history of adaptation and growth, we are adapting and growing into new versions of living and learning, bearing Scholarship from creative teaching and learning and research. Join us this fall in Spartanburg, South Carolina, to share your Scholarship, learn from others, and be inspired for the next chapter of our academic career. Let us weave the thread of design together and in-person in September.
The conference invites individuals (scholars, graduate students, and undergraduate students) to submit abstracts that contribute to the body of knowledge of interior design and interior design education. Scholarship topics may be based on pedagogy, history, theory, design practice, interdisciplinary collaboration, and case studies, representing qualitative and quantitative research. Presentations reflecting innovative teaching approaches or methods and professional/creative work related to interior design are also welcome. Abstract presentations may be in the form of a presentation or panel and may be completed by one or multiple authors.
