Are you new to IDEC, a student, or just wanting to learn more about how IDEC works? This session will include a brief overview of IDEC as an organization and the vast offerings available to members. This session features a panel of IDEC-member educators who will share insights into faculty life and their own career journeys with IDEC. Panelists will represent different institution types across IDEC regions and a range of teaching and research-focused positions. Panelists will share their pathways into academia and share some of the aspects of faculty life they wish they had known before! This session requires advanced registration and requires no additional fee beyond conference registration.

How can I ensure that my CV is what search committees are looking for? This is an informative and interactive event that will help you modify your CV for the academic job market. You will have the unique opportunity to receive mentorship advice from IDEC members who have experience on academic search committees. The event begins with a roundtable of advice for all attendees and then ends with breakout CV review sessions for registered participants. There is no additional fee for this workshop beyond conference registration. However, this session requires advanced registration so that organizers can plan ahead.
